I done 2 builder's reports with Mark, and I found them to be informative, descriptive and straight to the point, with photos shown around the house to give an overall picture of the house condition. Mark identifies and explains the defects found with clear photos . Mark goes beyond his work, such as testing water taps for leaks, plumbing checks such as making sure toilets work properly, making sure roof flashings are installed correctly, and checking for safety issues, such as gas tanks are not leaking and installed correctly. He also takes notes of any structural defects found, such as checking that carports and patios are structurally sound and the overall condition of the property, which checks and covers all the externals, such as fences, carports and garages and internals, such as the kitchen, bathroom and laundry, checking all the cabinetry doors for I thought it was very good that he took photos of inside and outside the roof, which showed the condition of the roof trusses and insulation, the condition of the roof while checking the evaporative cooler on top as well I was happy with the 1st report, that I ordered a 2nd report on a different house, and recommend him highly on his work, professionalism and friendly manner in which he speaks to his customers.

Who is qualified to do my Pre-Purchase Building Inspection?
The Australian Standard AS 4349.1 clearly states the report must be completed by an experienced, qualified person, i.e. a Registered Builder.

You wouldn’t hire anyone but an experienced qualified mechanic to check your car! The same goes for houses and Registered Builders.

Be aware there are no Government “Licensing” requirements for inspectors in WA. So make sure you ask if your inspector is a Registered Builder, not a so called Licensed Building Inspector.
